INVERTER TECHNOLOGY

NEW GENERATION

ELECTRONIC POWER SUPPLY FOR UV LAMP & ELECTRONIC BALLAST INVERTER TECHNOLOGY

UVtek new generation electronic power supplies are specifically designed for UV lamps and UV systems. Lamp start up and operating currents are controlled by DSP microprocessor. In this way long lamp life is ensured. Transition to a new power value currents with lamp start and inrush currents  are constantly controlled and ensured to operate without exeeding the allowed maximum current value. Lamp situation is constantly monitored in all operating conditions. So that, there is a balance between the lamp output power with the reference value given. This balance conditions won’t be effected of mains voltage cooling conditions or changes that may occur depending on the operating environment temperature. This means stability for UV curing.

Normally, use the mains supply is 50 – 60 Hz sine wave throughout the World. The UV lamps with light-emitting discharge tube technique, emit light with pulses in 100 – 120 Hz. Electronic ballasts are produced with an inverter technology in which 20 kHz square wave is used. Accordingly, the light frequency will be 40 kHz.

Another advantage of our new generation electronic ballast is three-phase operation. Since the system load is distributed to three phase instead of two phase, current drawn is reduced. In this way, energy losses that occur in the line will be reduced.  Also our electronic ballast’s power factor is higher than magnetic transformers or shock transformers and thus reactive current also decreases. All this, means less electricity bills.

Thanks to electronik ballast system which is designed and used by UVtek, energy consumption is reduced to optimum level, paralelly it is also reduced demand of exhaust air and cooling power. Each unit saving in energy, will have positive impact on carbon emission in the same proportion in nature.
